When Mike Brennan finished installing the more than 12,000 square foot DaVinci Multi-Width Slate roof on Kathleen Ruehlow's custom lakeside home in Wisconsin, he knew he and his team had done some of their best work. This was later confirmed when Brennan, owner of Brennan Exteriors, LLC out of Mukwonago, Wisconsin won a DaVinci Masterpiece Contractor 2022 Project of the Year award for the project.
"This was such an incredible roofing project," says Brennan. "There are nine separate barrel roofs and a one-of-a-kind mushroom roof. Plus there are many different roof lines and elevation changes. The DaVinci slate was a perfect fit for the home and boat house, but it definitely needed a dependable snow retention system and that's where Rocky Mountain Snow Guards came in.
"We requested copper snow guards and fencing to complement the other copper accents on the roof. There's copper flashing, gutters and radius copper flashings on the barrel roofs. The entire exterior just shines with copper. The fact that we could match up the snow retention systems in copper with the rest of the roof elements visually tied the entire roof together and made it an award-winner!"
