Alexander Rose
When Alex Rose needs a snow retention system, RMSG is his go-to place.
Since 1993 Excel Roofing has been an intricate part of the Colorado roofing community. Now, with locations also in Wyoming, the company has 21 project managers. One of those managers, Alex Rose, works the Colorado marketplace. Alex really understands roofs. He also understands that when it comes to snow retention systems, it's best to work with the professionals at Rocky Mountain Snow Guards.
Alex, tell us about the area and environment you install roofing in and what kind of snow retention systems are needed for your customers.
We install roofs all over the Denver metro area. The areas we work in get a great deal of snow and we always recommend a snow retention system for these homes. We send photos of the homes and measurements to Rocky Mountain Snow Guards and have them recommend the best system for each individual home.
What type of roofing material do you tend to install most, and what's your favorite "go to" snow retention product that you use with that material?
At Excel Roofing 85% of the roofs we install are asphalt shingles. In most cases, we do not need a snow retention system unless it's F-Wave, stone-coated steel, tile or some other slippery surface. When we do need snow retention, we always send our requests to RMSG. They respond in a timely manner and ensure our clients get the best possible system for their home.
What's the most challenging/interesting roofing project you've done where a snow retention system was involved?
There was a home with solar panels on a section of the roof that also met up with standing seam metal in an odd valley situation. We definitely needed snow retention. It was tricky because of the interconnecting roof lines and positioning of the snow guards. With the help of RMSG, we installed a ColorGard system on the standing seam section that protected the solar panels. It came out great!
