Dahlenburg Roofing has been using Rocky Mountain Snow Guards' products since 2020. It's no surprise that when they had a tricky situation come up with the St. Augustine Church in Denver, CO, they turned to us for snow retention assistance.
The old church, built in 1912, was falling apart. Especially the bell steeple tower. Water was coming off the steeple roof, damaging the bricks and mortar. After scaffolding was put up and the project inspected, an unusual suggestion was made by Dahlenburg Roofing. Add in a gutter system to protect the bricks and mortar from additional water damage. That's when they realized they had another problem. How were they going to keep the gutter from falling down if there was an avalanche of ice and snow?
The unique solution involved the installation of dark bronze, powder coated Drift II 2-pipe fence-style snow guard system around the steeple to protect the new gutter system being used to divert the water. While the renovation is still in progress for the church roof and steeple, the snow guard system is doing its job...and the water is no longer gushing down the sides of the church.
