Snow Guard Testing

At Rocky Mountain Snow Guards we take snow retention very seriously.  From the inexpensive CP5 snow guard for metal roofs to the elegant copper ST18 for slate roofs, our snow guards undergo load testing to ensure that they will perform as designed.  A number of load tests are performed on each design by an independent testing lab.  Once the tests are completed, the results are averaged and an appropriate safety factor is applied.  The resulting load rating is inserted into our snow guard calculator that calculates the appropriate number of snow guards necessary per roofing square.
